Que. - Why vomitting occurs during pregnancy ?
Ans.- During pregnency placenta produces certain toxins which need to be expelled out and this requirement is fulfilled by vomitting. Even mother's stomach may also produce some.In earlier times drugs were given to stop vomitting as a result, the toxins accumulated and cut the parts of foetus,a condition called phocomelia. Now a days this does not happen due to more advanced drugs which effect (neutralise) the toxins. This is why vomitting occurs during pregnency.
